Why we wrote this guide?
“The wisdom of life” or the “Knowledge of longetivity” – Ayurveda is the ancient philosophy from the Vedas in India. The practice originated in India, 5000 years ago and is well documented in Sanskrit in the Indian Vedas. There are very few healing modalities out there, that explain what makes us unique, why we are so different and how we can use nature to keep ourselves not just free of disease but also in the BEST health we can be. At Trailhead Health we are committed to helping consumers find the best healing modalities and practices currently used within the United States, that can be integrated beautifully into our current healthcare regimen.
Ayurveda emphasizes the significance of understanding what makes us unique, how the same food item may have a completely different influence on one body Vs another, how seasons affect our doshasand how we should change our diet according to our geographical region as well as seasons, how having a fixed daily care routine can make all the difference in achieving best health and how different approaches such as foods & diet / yoga / meditation / herbs, spices and oils / being in nature / massage / cleanses and detox / fasting and many other techniques and tools are important ways that need to be integrated together with modern medicine to help us achieve optimal health.
