Yoga Bonding / Baby Yoga is a fun and mindful blend of yoga for babies, and yoga for moms (or dads, grandparents or caregivers). This class is an amazing way to connect with babies, meet other moms and babies, find a supportive postpartum community, all while re-gaining your yoga practice (or beginning one). Yoga Bonding was created by my mentor and friend Lisa Bergly, and she passed on the teachings to me in 2011.

The benefits for babies are wonderful; babies sleep better, have better digestion, are better adjusted, and happier! We play, sing, are light and joyful! We’ll start class with baby yoga, and then you’ll have an opportunity for your own practice, while bringing baby along for the ride. Imagine a Warrior II with baby perched on your front leg.

This class is part mom’s group, part yoga class. We feed babies, diaper them, whatever you need to do, we do right along with class as it is happening. This class is also an open forum for conversation. Friends are made, support is given, and a wonderful network of parents and babies come together for this amazing class. Everyone is welcome Mom’s, Dad’s, Partners, Grandparents, and Nannies.

You’ll have an amazing time with babies, creating bonding that is life lasting in this class! Join us in Yoga Bonding / Baby Yoga!!

Bring with you two blankets, one for laying baby on, and one for swaddling (an important way to calm babies nervous system).  Look at all these great reasons to swaddle your baby, and the debunking of thoughts like “my baby doesn’t like to be swaddled”. It’s fascinating! Remember a swaddle helps babies feel like they are back in the womb, which in turn calms their nervous systems.

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Join class when babies are about 4-6 weeks old, or when you have permission from your caregiver to exercise. Email me if you have questions. I am looking forward to seeing you and your baby or babies!!
