Private sessions with Karen is a totally different experience than with a group. Karen's attention is solely based on you and your body. I've had MS for almost 17 years and my doctors say Pilates is fantastic for me. Karen makes a point to continually learn more about the body so she can help her clients live healthier lives. Karen is truly a fabulous teacher.

Because of my joint disease, I don't have a lot of options for exercise. I took up Pilates, hoping it would help me toe and build muscle without pain or discomfort. That is exactly what I found in my private sessions with Karen. I can do most exercises without hurting my joints, and if something goes cause discomfort, she can usually adapt the exercise to something that doesn't hurt. It that isn't possible, we just move on. She never makes me feel bad that I can't do something. I feel stronger and more toned than I have in a long time and I don't have to kill myself to get that.

Aside from the exercise, I appreciate that Karen has great knowledge of her craft. She knows more about the body and how it works than I have seen with most of the people I have worked with in gyms over the years. She is also very flexible with my crazy schedule and rescheduling when necessary. Lastly, the atmosphere is lovely. She plays relaxing music and uses aromatherapy to heighten the experience

I have practiced Pilates for over 9 years, the last two years with Karen. Her ability to fine tune is amazing. She’s funny, yet serious, pushes hard enough and knows when to yield, is there to celebrate the victories and supportive when there’s work to be done. Her focus is on form and getting the most out of the exercise. It’s therapy to help the body move in a more fluid manner. She’s gentle and encouraging, always positive with a “you can do it” at just the right time. This is one appointment I look forward to every week. Doing Pilates with Karen is “me taking care of me”!

I have been doing Pilates with Karen for over eight months now and I love it! When I first found out she was a personal Pilates coach, I was intrigued but never thought it was something for me. I had the notion you already had to be really physically fit even to begin Pilates. After one session with Karen, I found that you can start at any level of fitness. I started out feeling bad about my level of fitness and now feel I'm coming from a position of strength! The thing that initially held me back was spending the money, but it is totally worth it. Through doing Pilates with Karen I have improved my form on my physical therapy exercises and now no longer have to go to physical therapy at all. I would so much rather spend my money proactively on preventing injuries through better strength and form than on physical therapy for an unnecessary injury. Invest in yourself by taking Pilates from Karen. She is phenomenal!
