I came to Wendy this fall for a super sore SI joint. My pain was so debilitating I could barely get in & out of a car without wincing & bracing myself. Being a fit yoga instructor myself, I was at a loss. I tried yoga, strength training and chiropractic care. While all of those things helped, they seemed to be a bandaid. The pain still returned. My chiropractor advised me to check out SomaYoga with Wendy. I mentioned my goal was to permanently fix my problem. After just 6 sessions, I am 100% better. My shoulders & neck were in so much pain I didn't feel safe driving because I had difficulty turning my head. I went to chiropractic, massages and PT but each only seemed to take the edge off - not really permanently change it. I found Wendy and took some private sessions with her. She started out very gentle, because I couldn't even do the movements the PT wanted me to do. After the first session I felt better immediately and it lasted a few days. I did easy home practice (truly only 15 minutes per day),and my pain and day to day functioning improved dramatically and quickly, without doing 90 reps of the same single movement that PT exercises entail.
